Millissa Jayne has a background in Information Technology, spanning areas such as Intranets, Learning Management Systems and Cyber Security. After over 30 years in the IT field with the same company, Millissa Jayne was given the opportunity to stay within the IT field or step out on faith and pursue her own entrepreneurial goals. Therefore, in 2018 Millissa Jayne formed MJ Media Group LLC a company providing videography and online advertising services. She believed the time was right to turn her hobby into a business.
Shirley Toliver is a Senior Human Resources Leader at UPS with nearly 20 years in the areas of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and HR Development. Shirley also manages UPS’sSocial Responsibility for the state of Florida that encompasses over 10,000 employees that include managing the UPS Foundation Florida budget and managing various community relations activities and the impact of volunteerism in the state of Florida. Shirley is frequently recruited to facilitate Women Employee Resource or Affinity Group programs providing leadership strategies and relationship building resources.
Shirley is the founder and Chief Power Officer of Life On Power, a Global WomenEmpowerment project that encompasses the brand “What if She knew She was Powerful” providing Leadership and Life strategies to individuals, small groups and career women.
Shaheewa T. Jarrett Gelin, Esq. serves as the General Counsel and Vice President of Compliance for the Gelin Benefits Group, LLC, an insurance brokerage and advisory company. In this capacity, she provides legal advice and ensures compliance with federal and state health care laws. In addition, she worked as a federal litigator for seventeen years.
In the wake of the Buy Black and Bank Black movements, Shaheewa founded Buy Black Broward in 2016, a business digital marketing platform for consumers who want to support, start, grow, or learn about black-owned businesses in Broward County, Florida. In 2017, she incorporated the Broward County Black Chamber of Commerce because she understood that the community needed more than just a directory. Broward County also needed an advocate for the small, black business owner. The Chamber officially launched in August of 2018, is quickly growing, and looking to expand the profit margins of black businesses in the area, with an aggressive and innovative agenda.
